Hiring A Salon Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations for commission stylists

  • Manage salon systems, inventory, backbar, and scheduling

  • Oversee front desk communications and client experience

  • Supervise and coordinate salon assistants

  • Support with onboarding, internal systems, and team communications

  • Maintain cleanliness and workflow standards across the salon

  • Collaborate with the owner on goals and salon performance

  • Participate in regular team meetings and planning sessions

Schedule

  • 40 hours per week

  • Blend of in-salon and remote administrative work

  • Must be available during core business hours

Compensation and Benefits

  • Annual Salary: $70,000

  • Hourly Equivalent: Approximately $33.65/hour

  • Paid Sick Time: 40 hours per year

  • Paid Vacation: 5 days per year

With a team of 10 stylists—8 commission-based and 2 renters—we pride ourselves on delivering an elevated, collaborative, and client-focused salon experience. We are hiring a Salon Manager to lead and manage daily salon operations, support our commission stylist team, and help uphold The Harbor’s high standards of service and professionalism. This position requires strong leadership, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work both on-site and remotely.

They serve as the welcoming voice of The Harbor, building strong connections with our clients while empowering our Stylists to excel. Coordinating

The Support Team members are detail-oriented professionals with excellent communication skills. They expertly manage appointments, oversee stylist schedules, enforce salon protocols, and ensure smooth operation by following established systems.
