*Pro Tips* to help your hair grow

Conversation with Alie

Question 1:

How often do you recommend getting a haircut?

It’s dependent on the client’s hair and what their goals are. If the hair is damaged, getting a cut every 3 months will improve their hair condition.

Question 2:

What are the benefits of getting a cut?

Think of your hair as a rose bush, if there are dead ends they need to be trimmed off so it can keep growing. You'll start noticing more length when you trim the damaged ends and they aren't breaking on their own.

Question #3

What is the best home care in between cuts?

Using quality hair treatments, like the nounou mask and staying off of hot tools as much as possible. Also, washing hair less often to let the natural oils moisturize your scalp. Washing your hair too often can strip the natural oils and ultimately dry your hair out.

Question #4

Do you have a secret pro tip?

Use lukewarm water for your hair. It makes the hair shinier and helps the ends not become super dry.

Question #5

What’s the difference between a trim and a cut?

Nothing, they’re the same thing!

Final Question:

What do you recommend for people with damaged hair who want it to grow ?

Cut it!

The Right Hair For You, is the Hair you feel Confident in

This was my first time going to The Harbor and Alie gave me the perfect haircut. I have very thick hair and have struggled to find someone that knows how to layer and thin it properly and Alie was super knowledgable and completely nailed what I was looking to get. I will definitely be going back for my next haircut.
